Jettie Rae's Oyster House: A Premier Seafood Cocktail Experience in Asheville

Note: ( TripAdvisor just rejected this same review! Maybe Google is more dependable! ) Recently I had the pleasure of dining at Jettie Rae's for the first time. It was Valentines Day and I went with a date. We had the best experience in quite a long time. Everything was fantastic from food to service. We ordered four courses. Each time it was excellent. I find this especially impressive given it is a seafood restaurant and our first three items were seafood (dessert was not :-)). It is just hard to get great fresh seafood unless you are getting off the boat yourself! On top of the exceptional food, our server made the evening memorable. I find it increasingly difficult to enjoy the service when dining out. This is not some crazy super high end restaurant, I believe the prices were reasonable given the quality of the seafood, but our server Heather made sure we had a great evening and was super knowledgeable of the menu items. Service like that is a dying art form. I can't wait to bring family and friends to this wonderful establishment here in WNC!

My sister and I ate here on my 70th birthday. We sat at the bar and were waited on by Ariana and Kelsey. They both were absolutely fabulous! They questioned us about our preferences and made suggestions that were perfect! The food, service and atmosphere were over the top!

The food and service were amazing here! The oysters were fresh! Every staff member we encountered was kind and personable. The seafood tower is well worth it!

Fantastic attention to detail! Personalized, hand-written card by the staff was such a nice touch. Incredible food, a seafood lover's dream!! We had two scoops of the home-made butter pecan ice cream,and we can't stop thinking about it! (Consider a coffee cocktail with an ice cream scoop float for the menu!) Heather provided fantastic service, and the decor was upscale yet comfortable. Exceptional spot for any occasion!

We had dinner at Jettie Rae’s on Tuesday evening. We were promptly greeted, seated and welcomed by our server, Dan. Dan was attentive, pleasant and always available. We had the Ceviche appetizer, which was fresh and delicious. The bee-liner snapper for dinner was wonderfully presented and tasty. The Chablis wine was a good pairing with the fish. This was our third dinner at Jettie Rae’s and we have always been pleased. It has become a favorite for us!

My fiancé and I went this past Saturday. We were greeted with “happy anniversary!” and a lovely card as well as some complementary champagne at the end of our meal. Heather was our server and was phenomenal! She helped make our anniversary so special. She coursed our meal perfectly. The mussels have to be one of the best dishes I’ve ever experienced. Every oyster we had was so fresh, briny, and delicious. We had an excellent main course of fish and chips as well. Everything from the service to the food is impeccable and we always have a wonderful dinner for our anniversary and we will keep the tradition going!

My husband Tony and I had an absolutely flawless dinner at Jettie Rae’s Oyster House last night! From start to finish, everything was perfection. The restaurant is incredibly stylish and elevated, yet it maintains a warm, welcoming vibe that isn't the least bit pretentious. They clearly take immense pride in their craft, including at the bar; the staff took such time and care to prepare us impeccable cocktails, including a perfectly balanced Vieux Carré. Our server, Dan, was fantastic and made us feel right at home, but the real star of the show was the Octopus—it was truly unbelievable. A wonderful highlight of our evening was when the chef personally came out to our table to chat with us. It’s that level of hospitality combined with incredible food that makes this, in my opinion, the best restaurant in Asheville. We can’t wait to come back!

Ed was awesome! Super knowledgeable and also gave great recommendations! We truly enjoyed our time at Jettie Rae’s. The rock shrimp spaghetti and crab rice were delightful!
